How to Get there

By Air
The Croatia is very well connected to Europe, and particularly to Italy. It can be reached in many ways.

Two roads can be covered by Road: the Trieste/Villa Opicina/Lubiana/Zagabria or the Tarvisio/Passo of Predil/Kranj/Lubiana/Zagabria.

The aeroplane, naturally, the fastest mode, especially if one is headed in the inland. The cities with international airports are: Zagabria, Split (Spalato), Dubrovnik (Ragusa), Pula (Pola), Rijeka (River), Zadar (Zara) and Osijek.

The Croatian Airlines and the Alitalia have direct flights between the two countries. Their sites are:

There are numerous other airlines that fly over Croatia. The main ones are:

By Ferry
In high season there exist many charter flights, and they also connect the various Italian airports with the coastal locations and the islands.

Ferry is one of the means much used to reach Croatia, specially if it is directed towards the coastal zones or the islands.

The Agestea connects Bari and Ortona, in Abruzzi, with Dubrovnik.

The Jadrolinija connects Bari and Ancona with Dubrovnik, Rijeka, Split, Korkul, Sari Grad, Zadar. Its site is:

By Train
It is possible to reach the Croatia also in train, even if the travel is rather long, especially if it has not headed to Zagabria. The coastal zone, in fact, is not facilitated by the railway network, ad.eccezione.della zone of Rijeka.
